OLIVER COUNTY COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS were called to order at 3:00 PM with Lee Husfloen, Rob Schmidt and Dave Berger. Others present were Patrick Waters, States Attorney, Alice Grinsteinner, HR, Jaden Schmidt, Auditor and Todd Schwarz, stepping in as Assistant States Attorney.

Rob Schmidt moved and Dave Berger seconded the motion to move the Commission meeting into Executive Session for a reasonably predictable lawsuit. A roll call vote was held with Rob Schmidt-Aye, Dave Berger-Aye and Lee Husfloen-Aye

The Commission meeting was moved into Executive Session at 3:01 PM.

The Executive Session was recessed at 3:25 PM and called back into Executive Session at 3:45 PM.

The Commission meeting was called back into regular session at 5:06 PM.

Discussion was held on the final action of the Executive session.

Mickie McNulty-Eide’s employment situation was discussed, including salary amounts. The BCI investigation was shared by Todd Schwarz. Questions were asked of Todd Schwarz by the Commissioners.

Rob Schmidt moved and Dave Berger seconded the motion to discipline Mickie McNulty-Eide in her role as Clerk of Court by asking her to resign by noon on March 5th, 2025 or she will be terminated as Clerk of Court, effective at noon on March 5th, 2025. This change will include the salary change to both Mickie McNulty-Eide of $35,848 per year and an increase for Rebecca Bethke to $44,300 per year, should she choose to accept the position as Clerk of Court. A roll call vote was held: Rob Schmidt-Aye, Dave Berger-Aye, Lee Husfloen-Aye. The motion carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:16 PM.

The next meeting of the Oliver County Commission will be at 1:00 PM, March 13th, 2025 at the Oliver County Courthouse meeting room.
