AUGUST 5, 2021 OLIVER COUNTY COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS were called to order at 8:00 A.M. with all members present.

     Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve the agenda. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

     Judith Hintz, Auditor, presented the E911/EM Quarterly Report for April 1st – June 30th, 2021 and the July 2021 edition of the Levy Limitations.

     Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to approve two Highway Utility Permits : one from Dave McAdoo along or crossing County Road/Hwy – Hensler Road in the SW ¼ of Section 4-144-81 and the other one from WRT along or crossing County Road/Hwy – 17th Street SW in the SW ¼ of Section 27-143-83. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

     Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to approve the Certification of Local Match for Bridge Inspection/Load Rating for Project #BRC-BRS-0099(009) PCN 22816. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

     Kirk & Linda Maize, Residents, discussed moving a prebuilt building onto their place where a barn sits now that they plan to have removed. They would need a variance because of the layout of their property. The commission saw no problem with granting a variance and John Wicklund was going to discuss it with the Planning & Zoning Board.

     John Wicklund, Land Use Administrator, presented Building Permit #960 for Sandra Riedemann for a 28’ x 62’ Manufactured Home in the SW ¼ of Section 18-142-86. Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve Building Permit #960. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

     Kyle Miller, Road Superintendent, discussed roads, dust suppression, and the lot behind the Historical Society Building.

     The Preliminary Budget Meeting was set for Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 at 9:00 A.M. in the Oliver County Courthouse meeting room.

     Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to accept the Sidewalk Repair Quote received from Garrett Brothers Construction of Stanton, ND. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

     There was discussion on people bringing animals into the courthouse. There will be a sign posted on the courtroom doors that no animals are allowed in the courtroom.

     Judith Hintz, Auditor, said the 2021 Mill Levy Valuation is $16,914,771 which makes one mill = to $16,914.77.

     The meeting was adjourned at 9:38 A.M.

 The next meeting of the Oliver County Commission will be at 8:00 A.M., Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Oliver County Courthouse meeting room.
