OLIVER COUNTY SPECIAL COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS were called to order at 1:30 PM with all members present, as well as representatives from Blattner Energy and NextEra Energy.

Discussion was held on the requirement for NextEra and all subcontractors to obtain permits through LoadPass Permits on all loads over 80,000 pounds.

Discussion was held on the Road Use Agreement. NextEra expressed concerns regarding “open-ended” portions of the agreement in relation to fines, especially concerning dust control.

State’s Attorney, Patrick Waters, advised the Commission to leave the wording in the agreement as it is, which is reasonable.

The company stated they would like to set up update meetings with Kyle and the Commissioners. These will most likely take place during the Commission meetings each month.

Discussion was also held on the companies maintaining proper speed limits. It was requested that all gravel trucks slow their speeds, especially around homes and livestock.

The meeting adjourned at 2:36 PM.

The next meeting of the Oliver County Commission will be at 8:00 AM, Thursday, June 6th, 2024 at the Oliver County Courthouse meeting room.
