OLIVER COUNTY COMMISSION PROCEEDINGS were called to order at 8:00 AM with all members present.
Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve the agenda. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.

Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve the following bills for payment and approve the following bills previously paid. A roll call vote was held, with Darrell Berger, Blake Wilkens and Lee Husfloen all voting aye, none opposed. Motion carried.

Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to approve the County participating in the ND Working Parent’s Childcare Relief program, with a $300 per month match with the state for employees that qualify to use the program.
Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to place John Wicklund on unpaid leave until the Auditor’s office receives a signed physicians release to work form.
Jaden Schmidt presented Building Permit #1028 for Ryan & Jackie Gullickson for an addition to their house in the SE ¼ of Section 4-142-83. Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve the Building Permit #1028. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Kyle Miller, Road Superintendent, updated the Commission on road issues. A new blade is on the way. The County is receiving bottom ash from Minnkota. Doug Scheetz was asked to pass along a request for BNI to road maintenance during winter months. The Commission asked that the Auditor advertise in the paper and Dollar Saver the NDCC that refers to not pushing snow across roads and in right of ways. Also to add that front end loaders and blade tractors should not be used on county roads.
Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to approve the Youthworks Agreement through NDACO. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to change the amount of voting precincts from seven to four, following school district boundaries. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Jim Jackson, Moore Engineering, was present to give an update on the bridge project. Flex Fund grant application is being looked at for three projects.
Jennifer Gooss, Solem Law Office, expressed interest in the State’s Attorney position.
Patty Koapke presented abatement #02071001. The amounts were for 2020-$739.86, 2021-$733.91 and 2022-$728.37. Blake Wilkens moved and Darrell Berger seconded the motion to approve the abatement #02071001. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Patty Koapke presented an application for tax exemption Jonathan & Jaidra Dagley for 2023-2024. Darrell Berger moved and Blake Wilkens seconded the motion to approve the tax exemption application for 2 years, 2023 and 2024. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
