OLIVER COUNTY PLANNING & ZONING Commission was called to order at 7:00 pm.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Roll Call was held. Members present were Cassie Smith, Bill Breimeier, Jody Reinke, Matt Wilkins, Linda Nelson and Gary Price. Others present were Jaden Schmidt, Secretary/P&Z, Patty Koapke.
Jody Reinke moved and Cassie Smith seconded the motion to approve the agenda. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Jody Reinke moved and Bill Breimeier seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the August 28th, 2025 meeting. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Conditional Use Permit #1074 was presented for Brent Rosecrans to build a house within SW ¼ of Section 29, Township 144, Range 82. Jody Reinke moved and Linda Nelson seconded the motion to approve Conditional Use Permit #1074. A roll call vote was held: Bill Breiemeier-Aye, Cassie Smith-Aye, Jody Reinke-Aye, Gary Price-Aye, Linda Nelson-Aye. Conditional Use Permit #1074 was approved.
Building Permit #1075 was presented for Brent Rosecrans to build a house within SW ¼ of Section 29, Township 144, Range 82. Jody Reinke moved and Linda Nelson seconded the motion to approve Building Permit #1075. A roll call vote was held: Bill Breiemeier-Aye, Cassie Smith-Aye, Jody Reinke-Aye, Gary Price-Aye, Linda Nelson-Aye. Building Permit #1075 was approved.
The Ordinance Amendment 2025-03 Enforcement was read. The Ordinance Amendment Hearing for 2025-03 Enforcement was opened. Linda Nelson moved and Cassie Smith seconded the motion approve Amendment 2025-03 Enforcement with the words repair and maintain be removed from the amendment prior to final approval. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Discussion was held on Data Centers and Cryptocurrency Mining Facilities. Jody Reinke moved and Linda Nelson moved to table the ordinance discussion for Data Centers and Cryptocurrency Facilities until the NDACO and League of Cities finalizes their template. All in favor, none opposed; motion carried.
Discussion was held on Solar Energy Facilities ordinances.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:23 pm.
The next meeting for the Oliver County Planning & Zoning Board will be October 30th, 2025 at 7:00 pm in the Oliver County Courthouse Meeting Room.
